The chapel of the most holy heart of Virgin Mary

In part town Hlinene there was a wooden pillar before this chapel on which there was a picture of Virgin Mary. People often met there and held various devotions. To the treasuries they donated charity and later, they turn on their priest Frantisek Tagani with a request to build a chapel there. Tagani with request for permission turned on diocesan bishop and asked him to permission for serving holy mass several times per year. People of Turzovka considered this place to be a miracle. Believers have fled there in time of drought, spreading of diseases and doing processions there. The place was traditionally referred as unusual, where miraculous healing should be done. Tagani described in the letter to the bishop the case of 50 years old Jan Muron who had problems with eyes and couldn’t recognize siluetes of people even in short distance. His neighbor led him to this place where he prayed, dipping his eyes in the spring and after returning home he felt better. He repeated it second and third time and for the healing he thanked to this place. Adma Ucnik suffered from painful cramps and teeth pain, prayed, washed in spring and did not feel any more pain which he also confirmed by the oath. The bishop granted permission to build the chapel on October 30th 1870. About a year and half the works had ended. The chapel has dimension 9.48 x 6.6 m. Manual work and work with sled with worth of 900 gold coins provided for free partisans. Except financial securing the parish cared for the good artistic equipment in the chapel. The picture of the pure heart of the Virgin Mary painted Jozef Bozetech Klemens in 1871 and to the tower there was placed bell created by Cyril Kraus from Banska Bystrica in 1873. The chapel was sanctified by Tagani on June 9th 1872. During the year 1878 there were built stairs to the chapel as it was written there “Za duchovnej spravy Fra. Tagnyi roku Pana 1878” – “For the Divine Administration Fra. Tagányi the year of God 1878”.
