WELL

This 12 metre deep wooden winch-well was in the past the village´s only source of drinking water. The upper part of the structure comprises of a wooden construction on a stone foundation. The roof is covered by wooden tiles and the internal construction of the well is stone. Constructed in 1860, this public well represents simple folk building techniques with typological features that illustrate the construction styles of the time. The design and concstruction of the well contribute to this conservation area´s outstanding identity.
